IATA Management of Aviation Facilitation aviation training course

Did you know that facilitation was one of the first areas in aviation to be internationally regulated? Harmonizing clearance formalities among countries has been crucial for expeditiously and securely moving people, crew members, cargo, and aircraft across borders. As 2024 marks the 75th Anniversary of ICAO Annex 9 – Facilitation, our refreshed course on Passenger Facilitation commemorates this milestone by discussing new improvements in border control tools and policies, technological advancements, lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the evolving aviation landscape. Focusing on the passenger's perspective, this course delves into the systems, tools, policies, and collaboration among multiple stakeholders necessary for achieving coherent and efficient aviation facilitation. Aligned with IATA’s Customer Experience and Facilitation Program, as well as international regulatory standards and best practices, it covers crucial areas such as passenger data management, travel authorization procedures, immigration and health controls, risk assessment strategies, handling of inadmissible persons and deportees, digitalization of processes, airport capacities, and ensuring a seamless and efficient 'end-to-end' passenger experience.
